Valentine Twist

I know this is my second Valentine's post this week.  Collaborating with other bloggers is so much fun and when Ada contacted me about a Valentine Collab, obviously, I was going to accept!  Since I talked about how my husband and I celebrate Valentine's day already I thought I would share some idea's with you if you do celebrate.
1.  Plan a picnic dinner in your back yard!  Set up twinkle lights and candles.  It can be something easy and fun like Breakfast for Dinner, or order a pizza.  The focus is on spending time together and doing something fun!  Also, for a romantic touch make a bon fire!
 2.  Plan a movie night in!  The first movie my husband and I watched together was "Space Balls".  I know, totally set the tone for the night lol.  Anyhow, when we are feeling nostalgic we watch the movie and make out!  Pull out the hide-a-bed, light some candles and put in the first movie you saw together.  It's like a trip down memory lane!
3.  Take a day trip to somewhere you haven't been before.  My husband and I like to venture out and check out surrounding towns, like Saxaphaw.  Find a town you haven't been to before and take a drive.  Stop at a local restaurant for lunch.  Ask your server whats in town, shopping, sights, etc.
I hope you can see from my examples you don't have to go out to a fancy dinner or put stress on Valentine's day.  Do something fun that you both with enjoy without causing stress!

About the Ladies!

SHEELA from Sheela Writes
“Love must be celebrated on a daily basis. And not just for your other person but expressed towards everyone you love.  Corny, I know, but really really true.  It just makes life all that much better.”

"Hey Everyone!  I'm Monica from Jersey Girl, Texan Heart.  First and foremost, thank you Ada for this awesome collab!  I decided to keep it a little simple and mysterious for Valentine's Day.  Of course I love dressing up, but sometimes I want to be a little more casual.  OTK boots, a whole black outfit with a pop of red is my way to go this year!  You can find me onInstagramFacebook, and Twitter!"

"Valentines Day in the North calls for innovation in the outfit.  Luckily my New Chic skirt arrived in time to inspire a winter ballerina look."

"My Valentine's day will consist of a half day of work - enter this Rose Quartz (or blush) Midi Dress for a subtle festive pink, which I paired with some fierce black pumps - and spending the rest of the day with my daughter, since my husband is currently not in town. Vivian and I will probably go for a play-date at Chuck E. Cheese, which for that I will be dressed festively comfortable. Happy Valentine's Day to you! It is a day to celebrate love and not just with your significant other."

  1. I totally agree. The less fancy outings sometimes mean the most! I love your cute casual outfit. You look stunning in hot pink.

I started a new link-up this week with Trend&Tidy! I'd love if you could join in and link up some posts!

  2. What great ideas. Thanks for sharing

  3. I am now catching up with everyone who collaborated on this. Loved your look. Need to try wearing that same cardigan I own with a pink top. All of your ideas here are great but I love the second one and have to remember to do that. ;-)

As always, it is awesome collaborating with you, Lee. =)
