Our dogs are members of our family.  As members they deserve the best we can offer.  Which is why we do special outings with them.  One place we love to go is PetSmart.  They carry quality food and fun toys.  We always let the dogs pick their treat and/or toy.  Being we care for our dogs we feed them Purina® Pro Plan® Savor® Shredded Blend food.  They love the Salmon and Rice flavor.  Just as Purina® Pro Plan® Savor® is savory we are trying our best to Savor our summer. Which is why fun outings like this are important to build lasting memories.
To build lasting memories here are some tips to spending a memorable summer day with your pet and significant other.
1. When it's hot outside find a pet friendly place to go inside, like PetSmart.
We enjoy letting the dogs sniff the toys and treats.

2. Go to the dog park.  Let your pets run wild.  It is a good place for social interaction they may be missing out on.
Plus it's fun to meet new people. What a better way to start a conversation than why you are there.

3. Have a fun cookout and invite another couples that has a dog.
We often hold "puppy" BBQ's where the guests can only come if they bring their K9 companion.

4.  We also love going on walks on cool mornings.  It helps the dogs to bond with each my husband and I.
A good bond helps in the long run when working with your pet.

Comment below any idea's you plan to do this summer with your pet.

Right now PetSmart is offering this deal to you - SPEND $15 on any Purina® Pro Plan® Savor® product, 5/31–7/5. SAVE $15 on your next purchase of 10.5-lbs. or larger Purina® Pro Plan® Dry Cat or Dog Food or Litter by 7/31.

The large bag is always the best value with a bonus 10%!  Our big dogs can go through food fast so not having to purchase food but once every 3 weeks is a help.
Pictured with me is my boy, Poopaw.  He is a lab / collie mix.  We adopted him at 3 months old just over 11 years ago.  He is a sweet and loving dog.  Breakfast and Dinner time are his favorite because he get's to eat tasty food.  He also loves going for car rides.  So heading to PetSmart where he is welcome inside is a big treat. Purina® Pro Plan® Dog Food is 100% Complete & Balanced Nutrition for each life stage which is important to us with an 11 and 7 year old dogs.

My husband and I adopted Mesa in the first year we were together.  She was defiantly my husband's dog.  It reminded me of the close bond my dad had with Daniel.  Mesa was with us for 7 years before she got bone cancer and had to be put down.  We miss her very much.  Poopaw was adopted 3 years after Mesa.  He was her friend and companion.  In the end he would cuddle with her and walk next to her in case her leg failed.  It was so touching to see how they not only care for us but each other.

Poopaw is hands down my dog.  He follows me like a shadow and whimpers when I go outside without taking him with me.  So obviously going to PetSmart is a no brainier!  He gets to come along and be apart of what we are doing.  A little over a year ago we adopted Dolly, who is 7.  A friend wasn't able to care for her any longer.  Dolly and Poopaw always got along when we would have cookouts so we knew she would fit in easily.  Above is the perfect picture of their personalities.  Poopaw next to me and Dolly wanting to run and great all the other dogs.
Of course we can't forget our feline friends!  Sweetness was adopted several years ago during an SPCA adopt-a-thon.  We like to joke she is a dog in a cats body.  She goes outside with the dogs to do her business when they go.  It is important to us that she have a well balanced diet since she goes outside.  Real poultry or fish is the #1 ingredient in all dry formulas of Purina® Pro Plan® Savor®
How will you Savor your summer with your pets?
