Holiday Memories

Year after year Christmas changes.  When you were a child you were so excited to see if Santa got your letter.  When you were a teenager it was about giving to your friends.  As an adult it's about being with family, and when/if you have children giving them amazing memories.  Sadly when something happens in a family and there are changes, it's hard to make Christmas the same as it used to be.

My father was very into Christmas.  He loved taking that extra step to make things amazing for us. Like when I was 8 or 9, I wanted an American Doll.  I had circled just about everything in the catalog.  Christmas morning I woke up to find Kirsten sitting on top of a beautiful wood box.  Being my father was talented with building things he decided to make the trunk and bed that Kirsten had in her books instead of purchasing one.  He put a special touch to my gift and  I still have the trunk and smile when I see it.

We lost my father when I was 21.  I don't think any of us realized how much that would change the holidays for us.  I met my husband that same year and I spent Christmas with him.  My mom and brother went to my aunt's house, and my sister spent it with her beau.  No matter how long it's been since we had a family Christmas together we all still carry on the traditions.

These Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection fragrances help get me into the spirit of Christmas.  Scents have an amazing way of bringing up good memories.  The BE AT PEACE™ Jar Candle reminds me how my dad, mom, and I would go to the Christmas tree farm and select our tree for that year, then cut it down!  Something about a fresh tree you cut yourself makes it more special.  My husband and I don't put up a Christmas tree; however, I do use the BE AT PEACE™ Jar Candle to remind me of the trees we had when I was a child.

One thing we always did as a family was bake cookies for Santa.  Our house would be filled with wonderful scents of tasty treats.  I still bake at Christmas and love that my house is filled with the aroma.  Which is why I love to use SEND A LITTLE LOVE™ Wax Melts and PlugIns® Scented Oils.  It adds a comforting scent to my home andp my husband prefers vanilla scents.

Each year Glade® comes out with amazing holiday scents.  SHARE THE SPIRIT™ is going to be a staple premium room spray for us this season.  The citrus aromas of tangerine, grapefruit and winter rose, along with pomegranate, perk up my home for guests.  Not to mention CHERISH THE PRESENT™ will be used when the fire is burning bright.  Hints of apples and cinnamon mingling with a wood fire remind me of winter at my grandmother's house.  Find all the Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection fragrances at your local Kroger.

The new Glade® Limited Edition Winter Collection brings the scents of the season into my home and reminds me of my favorite memories. #HolidayWithGlade
