I love taking a sleeveless dress and putting a sweater over it when the seasons change.  It makes my wardrobe last longer and work harder for me.  I haven't talked about being on a budget or being wise about clothes shopping lately.  Frankly with my weight gain I haven't felt good in any clothes.  This past weekend (between jobs ha) I cleaned out my closet.  I have 4 bags of clothes and shoes to take to consignment and I had 2 trash bags that are just going away.  I feel so liberated by cleaning out clothing that either no longer fits or I don't wear.  It makes getting dressed easier because I know everything will fit.  Not to mention it has helped me get a clear picture of what I really have and make a realistic list of what I really need/want.  Like I discovered I don't have a white button down blouse.  Also, I don't have a nice pair of heels.  So I am on the look out for both items.  If you have a favorite store or suggestion let me know!  I want good quality, these will be staples and investment pieces for me.

I wore these booties the other day and was shocked at how many women complimented me on them.  I guess I never realized how hard it is to find royal blue booties.  So don't wait!  Go get them (ehm Target).

Sadly my hubby threw his back out yesterday.  We go to the Dr this afternoon.  Please pray for him!

  1. I love that sweater and would never have thought to layer it over a dress! I will be thinking about your husband and I hope he gets better soon.

  3. Love your sweater! It goes so well over your midi dress and your royal blue booties tie it all it. You killed it with this look ;) Hope your hubby feels better soon.

    1. Thanks Marly! I love to hear when I killed it! Brian will be ok, heading to the Dr soon. Hoping it is similar to last time and just rest will heal things.
