Currently Employed

I know several people who are looking for new jobs while currently employed, so I thought I would post interview "appropriate" outfits to wear at your current job.  There are several options that won't draw attention to you at your current job, but be perfect for an interview.
Ok hopefully I won't overwhelm you!  These outfits are for a business causal environment in a small company or for an entry level position.  If you are going for a management position or VP please wear a suit!!

Layering is a perfect way to stay polished while looking "normal" at work!  My collared shirt under this sweater is perfect and if I choose I can ditch the sweater and add a blazer for the interview!  Remember minimal jewelry!  Also notice no nail polish!!!!  Keep those fingers clean.

These low kitten heels are perfect for my 5'9" height as I don't know if I will interview with a short person or not and I don't want to tower over them.

Option #2 - I adjusted the sweater to be a bit more classic.....

pearls say something to me - professional.....

OR if I were going to interview I would wear something like this to work......

Leggings with an over sized sweater will bring no attention to you at work if you have and "appointment" to leave for after.  However the collared shirt under won't make this a Total outfit change.

Slip the skirt over your leggings and presto you are professional, swap the sweater for a blazer and flats for pumps and your set.  No one will be the wiser.

I love this crushed velvet blazer and it adds a little color to a very bland outfit.  Let's face it you don't want to be over the top but you need to be a little stylish!

Good Luck if you are interviewing!!!

  2. Your shoe wall is making me die with jealousy,

  3. haha it's funny that you mentioned they won't bring attention to you at your current job- when i was interviewing my current boss actually said "wow you look nice today, hopefully you don't have an interview", and i was all "!!!!!" haha!

My favorite one is the first one- can't say no to a striped sweater!

  4. Anytime I dress up at my office I get the "are you going to an interview" question. My office is super casual so I can wear jeans and leggings, so a skirt or dress always puts up a red flag. These are all great interview outfits!

  5. Firtst of all - wow, great closet!! Second of all, great tips and outfit ideas! Love ur blog!! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
