From Summer to Fall

I love when the air gets a little cooler.  The crisp morning that warms to a nice 70+ degree day.  Plus if you know anything about the south you know the humidity goes with those 80+ days which I defiantly don't miss.

Here are some ways I transition items from those unbearable hot days to cooler ones.
A strapless dress can be worn during cooler days by added a collared shirt.  Like this dress, with the collared shirt I will be able to wear it longer.  Make sure you go with a full skirt strapless and not a fitted one, this will hide any bunching the collared shirt has during the day.

Another item I love is this sheer leopard shirt.  It is cool in the summer and perfect to wear under a jacket in the fall.  I tend to be hot natured.
As you can see I swapped shorts for skinny pants and added a blazer.  I chose my jewel toned blue blazer, but also added my moto jacket below.

Here you can see how this outfit can go from work to a bar with the change of a jacket.  I love this BCBG leather moto because the back is made of sweater material.

Outfit 1 - J Crew strapless 2011, added Old Navy gingham
Outfit 2 - Shirt French Connection 2012, Shorts Old Navy, Skinny pants Zara 2011, Blue Blazer Apostrophe' (Good Will Find), Moto BCBG 2012

  1. I really like the look of a collared shirt layered under a dress!! I'm not sure I've ever tried that before.

    1. Thanks Rachel. I saw something on TV this weekend that made me think of it. I am sure it was a dress on the show but I thought I can do that!
